Winds Of Mysterious Fortune, Midnight Edition

From September 8-22, gain 20% extra xp and 50% added Reputation during the Winds of Mysterious Fortune.  Before I became a rep scrabbler, I shrugged off events that gave added reputation.  Now I'm like one of those cartoon characters with the popped out boing, boing eyes.

There's MORE!  If you log in for five days anywhere in that time period you get 500 extra Traders's Tender for the Trading Post.

Also, the event comes with the excellent Mysterious Satchels which often have useful armor, exp potions and other goodies.  If you're leveling a character  from 10-89 this can be huge for them.

Crazy Coupon Lady

Remember back in the day when coupon fiends would have half the store in their carts, but because of their coupons in hand, they only paid like $5.00 for it all?

I was never that person, but I was happy with my self if I saved $5.00 off an entire order with my carefully hoarded pile of coupons.

Enter the Community Coupons in World of Warcraft neighborhoods.  They just keep ratcheting things up that you can get.  There will be Halloween items out, likely at the next update in October.  The Vendor is in town, currently selling a mug and a crate for 100 gold each.  Atherne makes that in her sleep.  Snared.

There's a Santa Vendor too, no current stock.  But we know he's on the way, ho ho ho!

Icy Veins has a list of upcoming Hallow's End Decor.  Some of these will be for coupons, of which I need a billion.  Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/news/wow-patch-12-1-5-brings-brewfest-and-hallows-end-decor-to-player-housing/

There are some Kobold inspired Endeavor Activities in the Ringing Deeps for Coupons.  I am not getting credit for Mining or Herbs. The number count doesn't change :(     I'll need to rely on regular Delve, dungeon and World Quest completions to get my Coupons for this Endeavor period unless they fix it.  Sad Panda.  I like as many sources as possible for earning Coupons.

I did find that there is credit (Coupons) for gathering wax, contributing to the Vat and getting a Sculpture made by a Kobold artist (daily) in the neighborhood itself. The Sculpture is only 5 wax, but its transparent and you don't get to keep it.  What were they thinking?

The Kobold Endeavor: A Workshop That Steals Your Candle

I think that the dev team has been adding clever activities in the neighborhood. The Amani Endeavor had several daily quests that rewarded Community Coupons. My Coupon warchest expanded nicely while they were here.

Don't trust those Kobolds, though!

You find bits of Perturbed Earth in the neighborhood. Just as in the War Within, when you click on them an activity pops up.

You gather Home Grown Wax from these, then bring them into town, and put the wax in a large cauldron.

Talk to the little Kobold to start the Candlemaking workshop in two minutes.  Call on your neighbors to come out and do the workshop too! (Right)

Once it begins, go grab a pot, then stand near the cauldron and catch wax till your pot is filled.

Next, untangle a wick.  It's just like all of those maddening crossed lines puzzles.

Put the wick in your candle and pull!  Once successful, your candle floats up in the air, now called a Community Candle!   You and your neighborhood have the length of the endeavor to make 100 candles so you can get the Color Curious Candle which I am assuming is dyeable.  It's still 25 Coupons, though.

There are NO Coupons given at all for doing the Workshop.  Rotten little candle grabbers.

I was worried I'd accidentally sold her pants.  I've done it before!  And the boots! What adventurer has their toes sticking out of their boots!

She is wearing Swampdredger Greaves and Steelbark Sabatons.  It used to be I'd pop to the Transmogrifier and change the appearance, but I only use it to get helmets off my head since the changes.

A couple of times now on the Coiled Isle I've found a little mask sitting against a wall or laying on the ground.   It's Ofi's Mask (who?) and he's yours to fight with for 30 minutes.  He's all vengeance and death dealing, and is somehow a charming little companion.  I guess I could see a little how Zul'Jan got attached to Malacrass.

My Engineer finally leveled to 140 Kul Tiran Engineering and could make all of the recipes.  I love the steampunk design, and most things have moving parts.  The last time I built on, I gave her two rooms to display her things, as many of them are large and awesome and I wanted them to stay that way.

The other room from my last upgrade that I added has a wall of windows I meant to have lots of plants displayed by.

Then I added a sitting area.  A nice cozy spot in front of the fireplace. Lots of bookcases.  I went a little crazy on the green dye.  Last I knew the room needed a cozy bed so my hard working characters could just crawl in and snooze if the needed to.  This is one of my favorite rooms.

Call Of The Sea The Vanishing of the Lady Shannon Chapter 3

Looking at IGN's walkthrough of the game let me know where I had gotten to in the game. When I tried merely re-tracing my steps, it didn't work for me because apparently I'd done 63% of the activity, and where I would pick up that action in it's middle...that's why I've been stuck for so long.

Much longer than I realized!  My previous saves were in 2021. No wonder I had lost the sequence of things.

Lucky for me, I could start the chapter over, and pick up the story from the beginning.  I just did a little because dinnertime approacheth.

Norah wakes up on a beach and sees the wreck of a ship ahead.  Surely I must have gone right into the ship the first time around? Not just wandered aimlessly around the encampment?

There's a ladder which I had trouble interacting with at first. This had me scrabbling to look for my Call of The Sea notebook, which had everything I needed to play.  Pfft it might have explained why I was stuck, too.  It seems to have been tossed.

With IGN's assist, I made my way to the light controls, and flicked those switches in order.

Next up, explore the ship more fully.  Sorry, Norah, for leaving you stranded for so long.

Neighborhood Hopping and Shopping

I dreamt all night about hopping between neighborhoods somehow to get a Certificate from a Silvermoon Endeavor I missed while it was in my Alliance neighborhood. It allows you to purchase unframed paintings from a vendor in Silvermoon.

By morning, I had researched neighborhood hopping to shop at other Endeavor vendors than the one you had.   Naturally, I sent my Horde BE because if anything went wrong...there's nothing unique in that house.

Talk to the Steward in your town center

Ask to Open the House Finder.

Click on the neighborhood names to see a map.  The homes that show up are all on available plots.  If there are a ton of them, almost no one lives there and you'll have a hard time completing the Endeavors as they change.

I had decided I wanted a house right on the beach , and closer to town.  Plot 37 was that, plus it had a bridge leading up to it and a little dock below.  So I looked for a well built up neighborhood with that plot open.

I found what I was looking for in Mystic Boar Gorge.  Click the map plot and then Visit House.

 Isn't it a lovely plot?

I went for it!

In mere moments my house was now in a paradise location.

I just needed to move a couple of plants out of the archway, and it lined up perfectly with the path leading down the hill.

Not a thing was out of place inside.  I thought people who moved their homes were crazy, but it's easy to do!

 Just shopping?

Do these steps, except find a house close to city center, then Visit it and do your shopping. There's a five minute limit on the visit so be quick!

Blizzcon 2026 What I'm Hoping For

https://blizzcon.com/en-us/

Blizzcon is coming right up!  You can view online for free. I generally only watch the opening ceremonies, and only the World of Warcraft section.  How nice it would be if they start with it, rather than the many boring other games they've got cooking.  Just saying.

I've no deep thoughts or theories (no surprise).  I would like to see The Last Titan announced as coming next year.  August is good, thanks.

I want the Last Titan to be Azeroth herself, that ultra powerful being who has been in hiding for millenia.  Get that woman out there.  Bust Xally back to a butter knife status, reward the faithful with some cool, amazing new world to explore.

Give a plan for Housing, decor releases and development.  Don't sugar coat it, just promise to reduce the number of ropes, fencing, fence posts, tents, and barrels to a bare minimum.  Expand things that can be made and discovered from earlier eras of the game.

Think that's it.
