Amazing Tales for Today and Tomorrow

 I've been pondering my post style, and though I love it myself, perhaps some prefer lengthier tomes.  It occurred to me this week I could have called this revived blog  "Salaryn's Illustrated Adventures" rather than Continuing.  I confess in the early days I used to blather on at length, but that just isn't me anymore.

I think more in terms of What nice, charming, fun thing can I put out to help anyone stopping by de-stress a bit?  What can I share about the games and books and shows I love someone else might like? Because I can't actually type, what feels to me like lines and lines of text comes out looking like a tiny paragraph at best.  Oops.

I offer those who would like to read in more depth my always developing sidebar.  I have plenty of blogs  listed where you can really dig your teeth into some thoughtful stuff.

As I've been thinking of it, I can add even more genuinely interesting reading by providing a list of my favorite gaming and television and genre sites so you never need feel like you came away without being entertained by someone, somewhere. 

Eyes right, please, for the new site list I've titled Amazing Tales for Today and Tomorrow.   I'll be adding to it no doubt, and the title isn't quite what I want but it will be in the same top spot for easy reading.  Salaryn Andelmist 

Secret World Legends Mission ATC Tiers 1-3

 Yay for accessing my inventory items by double clicking.  I now have a dog companion.

 

All I need to do now is pick up the toy spy plane, which brings up a cut scene of it flying off into the darkness, and crashing as it did in previous attempts.  This time, we have my intrepid character to go fetch it and try to take out the gnarly EMPs.  So Danny can spy on them because he's an awesome kid.  Joking.

It's easy enough to find the plane, and the tough little craft got pictures of the three EMPs before it shorted out.

 

My job (cue Mission Impossible music) is to get into the airport, take out the EMPs, and no doubt kill bad guys. Right.

 

I find a back way in with ease.

 

There are convenient bodies in the pool who have a note with the door code to the next area.  Thanks!

 Tragedy ensues of course.   Code, Easy.   Put uniform on, eh, what?  There were distractions in the real world behind me. That's my excuse.  I didn't put on the uniform. I went out and was insta-killed first by a security drone then by three guys standing around a barrel.  Uniform next time, right.

 

The Continuing Adventures

I'm having the best time pouring through old files.  Above is a character from EQ2, I think.  It's a game I've always wanted to play through, but I tend to get bogged down in the starting areas trying to figure out where to go next.  I should load it on my laptop and try concentrating on a single character until I figure out how things work.  It should be the owner of my little apartment in Qeynos, right?

Salaryn's Sword, the reboot will be a little different than my usual gaming blog.  First, I'm going to go full retro digging up the old stuff while still writing about the game of World of Warcraft as I now play it.

I only plan on one regular feature, Screenshot Saturday.

10 Posts a month remains the goal.

I'm going to add posts about Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror films, TV and Books.   The themes of these fit perfectly with the types of games that appeal to me.
