Into the Cellar.
It's not the place I was thinking of but I do remember this library. Sigh of relief it isn't the other place.
I pick up every interactible object in the room.
Then I put all of them in the door at once, proud of myself.
Nope. So smart, right, I look in my mission journal to get an image of the book "Enlightenment" which tells you the symbols and sequence to use. What would mom say? When in doubt, read the instructions.
With symbols properly placed, the door pops open! There's an immediate cinematic of a creepy guy standing at the other end of the tunnel, which fully collapses.
A guardian emerges!
I have been doing really well in fights, so I'm pretty confident I can kill this guy. That's always the point at which you notice you're doing NO DAMAGE to the creature, and you're busted.
Fight suddenly gets all flamey and BOOM! You're in another cinematic with a guy who appeared out of nowhere and saved you. Blah blah blah, evil has come to town, he says.
All done in the library. Off to investigate this charming new place. Look at all of the fun places on this map.
